Nursery Admissions
Welcome to Christ Church Nursery
Our Nursery provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can begin their learning journey, rooted in our Christian values and a love of learning.
Christ Church is a Church of England school, but you do not need to be Christian or attend church to apply for a Nursery place. We warmly welcome children and families of all faiths and none.
As a school-based Nursery, our dedicated Early Years team supports children through these important first stages of education and helps provide a smooth transition into school.
Applying for a Nursery Place
Nursery applications are made directly to Christ Church.
To apply for a place or ask about current availability, please contact the school office.

We would also be delighted to arrange a visit so that you and your child can meet our Early Years team and see our Nursery.
Funded Nursery Places
We offer Free Early Education Entitlement funded places for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds, including:
- 15 hours funded childcare
- 30 hours funded childcare, where eligible
To access 30 funded hours, parents must provide the school with their 11-digit eligibility code and National Insurance number.
Eligibility for the extended entitlement must be reconfirmed every three months.
Check your eligibility and apply for funded childcare on GOV.UK
Families who are not eligible for the extended entitlement may purchase additional Nursery hours, subject to availability.

Early Years Pupil Premium
Your child may be eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP), which provides additional funding to the school to support their learning and development.
Eligibility depends on your family's circumstances and other qualifying criteria.
Please contact the school office and we can help check whether your child may be eligible.

Moving from Nursery to Reception
Please be aware that a Nursery place does not automatically guarantee a Reception place at Christ Church.
Reception applications are made separately through your home local authority as part of the normal primary school admissions process.
Families of all faiths and none are welcome to apply for a Reception place.
