Southwark Diocesan Board of Education Multi-Academy Trust (SDBE MAT)
We are delighted to announce that Christ Church Streatham Primary School converted to academy status on June 1st 2018 and is now part of the SDBE MAT, building on the successful and valued work of the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education.
The school will now receive expertise and experience on the full range of personnel issues that occur within schools, buildings, admissions, succession planning, Religious Education, school improvement, partnerships and collaboration.
We look forward to continuing to work with all of the schools in Lambeth, together with our parents, governors and the local community, to ensure the very best outcomes for our learners.
On Wednesday 17th May at the Governing Body Meeting, Governors voted unanimously for the school to apply to the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education to enter their Multi Academy Trust (SDBE MAT) after a period of consultation with parents, staff, the PCC and the wider community.
The school is currently in a very strong position and the expectation is that it continues to work together with others to support one another. The decision was taken in order to safeguard the ethos and success of the school, protect the pupils and staff from future isolation or threats and to widen the support we offer to other schools. We will continue to work in partnership with other local schools in the Windmill Cluster, other Lambeth church schools and with our federated school, St. Luke’s, in order to widen the learning opportunities that we can offer, share costs and enhance the educational experience of our learners.
